Abstract: E-books are not only becoming an important part in the development of digital library collections, but also in the management of lifelong learning systems. The project which we hereby detail has been partly dedicated to this particular task. Thanks to the End of Course compulsory subject, an ad-hoc tool has been designed and implemented with the objective of improving the management of a lifelong learning organization system. A multidisciplinary group including Area and Maintenance Staff as well as Research/Teaching staff was created for the purpose of finally obtaining a tool which incorporates a repository of hybrid information by using descriptive techniques such as FOAF (Friend of a Friend Project) and the Topic Maps paradigm. As a use case, it has been tested at the Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación (ICE) of the University of Zaragoza (UZ).
